Said post is made of an aluminum cast alloy, and is formed in an I-shape in a horizontal cross section, having a central web and front and rear flanges, and being wider at its lower portion. A mechanical neutral plane of the post along the widthwise direction thereof is formed in an S-shape, so as to provide sufficient plasticity and supporting ability to absorb an impact load of a vehicle and to protect a driver from injury.read more
