The ashtray holder has a U-shaped housing (12) secured into the dashboard fitting, with the U-profile inverted. The E-shaped clips are clipped to each side of the housing leaving two fingers, with guide profiles facing the ashtray recess and gripping grooves along each side of the ashtray. The tray is retained in the recess by a spring clip over the top edge whole the bottom of the recess is part of the dashboard moulding.
