In this paper, progress on high temperature protection coatings, particularly several new-protection coatings is reviewed, together with a discussion of current limitations and future opportunities, as well as a review of new and existing methods for high temperature coatings.
Abstract
The high temperature protection coatings play an important role for preventing high temperature oxidation and hot corrosion from aircraft turbine engine and prolonging the time life of engine. Electron beam physical vapor deposition (EB-PVD) and air plasma spray (APS) deposition are now the two most important methods prepared for high temperature coatings. Progress on high temperature coatings, particularly several new- protection coatings is reviewed, together with a discussion of current limitations and future opportunities.

Effects of Coating on Surface Recrystallization of DD6 Single Crystal Blades

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of coating on surface recrystallization of single-crystal turbine blades have been investigated, and the results indicate that the coating changes the cellular recrystization morphology of the original matrix of the blade, which can effectively reduce the occurrence degree of recrestallization.
