Abstract
This paper introduces a process for teaching creative and expressive techniques from an empowerment perspective in advanced practice classes. It demonstrates MSW student learning in play, music, art, and other expressive interventions. The assignment, the use of the class as a group, introduction of specific techniques, and how they empower and enhance culturally competent practice are discussed.
