Maximal Controllability for Boundary Control Problems

TL;DR: In this article, a semigroup approach to abstract boundary control problems is developed, which allows to characterize the space of all approximately reachable states and give an upper bound for this space.
Journal ArticleDOI

The `Window Problem' for Series of Complex Exponentials

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the individual terms of the L2 function can be obtained from observation of the l2 function through the "window" t∈[0, δ] with an l2 estimate (uniform for such exponents) asymptotically as t, ∆→0.
Journal ArticleDOI

Exact controllability of infinite dimensional systems persists under small perturbations

TL;DR: In this paper, the concept of controllability for infinite-dimensional linear control systems in Banach spaces was studied and it was shown that the set of admissible control operators for the semigroup generator is unchanged if we perturb the generator by the Desch-Schappacher perturbations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Periodic Solutions for Non-linear Equations of Structured Populations

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Hopf Bifurcation Theorem for a class of abstract differential equations introduced by Desch and Schappacher, and showed that a Hopf Theorem can be proved for this class of equations.
