TLDR
In this paper , a simplified model that allows the calculation of the displacement and contact force in an impact considering the effect of the force of gravity on the structural response has been proposed, and a coefficient is proposed which enables the evaluation, prior to any analysis, of whether the impact will be significantly influenced by the forces of gravity, whatever the structure under study.

Effectiveness of reinforcing methods in enhancing the lateral impact performance of geopolymer concrete column reinforced with BFRP bars

TL;DR: In this article , the impact-resistant response of BFRP-GPC columns under lateral impact loading has been recently investigated, and different response characteristics were observed from those of steel-OPC columns due to the different material properties.

Prediction of Impact Force and Duration Due to Low-Velocity Impact on Circular Composite Laminates

TL;DR: In this article, two simple and improved models were developed to calculate impact force and duration during low velocity impact of circular composite plates, including the contact deformation of the plate and the impactor as well as bending, transverse shear, and membrane deformations.

Analytical and numerical studies on impact force profile of RC beam under drop weight impact

TL;DR: In this article, a two-degree-of-freedom (2DOF) analytical model is developed for reinforced concrete (RC) beams under drop weight impact by using fiber beam section analysis method to predict the impact force.

Experimental and numerical investigation of reinforced concrete beams with variable material properties under impact loading

TL;DR: In this article, the behavior of reinforced concrete beams manufactured from several concrete types are experimentally and numerically investigated under dynamic impact loading, and finite element analyses of the tested beams are also conducted by using commonly used finite element software to observe the stress distribution under the impact loading.
