TLDR
The geometrical form of the one-loop divergences induced by conical singularities of background manifolds is studied in this article, where surface corrections to standard second and third heat coefficients are obtained explicitly in terms of angle α of a cone Cα and components of the Riemann tensor.

Heat kernel expansion: user's manual

TL;DR: The heat kernel expansion is a very convenient tool for studying one-loop divergences, anomalies and various asymptotics of the effective action as discussed by the authors, and the heat kernel coefficients are given in terms of several geometric invariants.

Entanglement entropy in free quantum field theory

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors introduce the general methods to calculate the entanglement entropy for free fields, within the Euclidean and the real-time formalisms, and describe the particular examples which have been worked out explicitly in two, three and more dimensions.

Entanglement Entropy of Black Holes

TL;DR: The focus in the review is on the systematic use of the conical singularity method and the puzzling behavior of the entanglement entropy due to fields, which non-minimally couple to gravity, which is illustrated on two- and four-dimensional examples.

Entanglement entropy, conformal invariance and extrinsic geometry

TL;DR: In this article, the dependence of entanglement entropy on the extrinsic geometry of the 2D surface Σ that separates two subsystems of quantum strongly coupled N=4SU(N) superconformal gauge theory was investigated.

Relative entropy and the Bekenstein bound

TL;DR: In this article, the relative entropy between the vacuum and another state, both reduced to a local region, is defined as a well-defined statement of the Bekenstein universal bound in flat space.
