Selected C8 two-chain linkers enhance the adenosine A1/A2A receptor affinity and selectivity of caffeine.

TL;DR: In this article, various C8 two-chain-length linkers to enhance adenosine receptor affinity were evaluated and the results indicated that the unsubstituted benzyloxy linker (1e A1Ki = 1.52μm) displayed the highest affinity for the A1 adenosinesine receptor and the para-chloro-substitized phenoxymethyl (1d A2AKi= 1.33μM) linker the best affinity for A2A receptor affinity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Safety issues of compounds acting on adenosinergic signalling.

TL;DR: The aim was to examine the toxicological and adverse effects data of different compounds acting on adenosinergic signalling, including different AdR ligands and compounds resembling the structure of adenosine.

Optimized Isolation Procedure for the Extraction of Bioactive Compounds from Spent Coffee Grounds

TL;DR: In this paper , the main parameters affecting the extraction of caffeine and polyphenols (i.e., chlorogenic acid, neochlorogenic acid and caffeic acid) were investigated, and the antioxidant properties of the extracts were evaluated.

Attractiveness of bioinsecticides caffeine and used coffee grounds in the choice of oviposition site by Aedes aegypti (Diptera: Culicidae)

TL;DR: Two experiments were carried out aiming to verify if CAF aqueous solution and UCG suspension might interfere in the choice of the oviposition site by Aedes aegypti, and reinforce the possibility of using CAF andUCG as auxiliaries in the control of Ae.
