TLDR
In this paper, a method for logical view visualization of user behavior in a networked computer environment that includes sites that a user may visit and wherein the sites comprise pages that the user may view and/or resources that the users may request includes the step of collecting raw data representing user behavior which can include requesting resources, viewing pages and visiting sites by the user.Abstract:
A method for logical view visualization of user behavior in a networked computer environment that includes sites that a user may visit and wherein the sites comprise pages that the user may view and/or resources that the user may request includes the step of collecting raw data representing user behavior which can include requesting resources, viewing pages and visiting sites by the user. This raw data is then refined or pre-processed into page views and visit data and stored in a data mart. Pages are clustered into super pages, and page to super page mappings reflecting the relationship between pages and super pages are stored in the data mart. An automated clustering means is applied to the page view, visit and super page data in the data mart to discover clusters of visits to define super visits having visit behavior characteristics. The visit data stored in the data mart is then scored against the super visit clusters to classify visits into super visits according to visit behavior characteristics. A system is also provided.read more

Location in search queries
TL;DR: In this article, a computer-implemented method is proposed to determine if a location query includes location-related information, and if the location query does not include location related information, determining whether a location indicator is associated with the remote device, and then generating a second result set based on the query and the location indicator.

Presentation of media segments
TL;DR: In this paper, a graphical user interface for visual media segments is presented, where the user has preemptive control over certain aspects of the video segments and can track the user's behavior.

Method and apparatus for tracking client interaction with a network resource and creating client profiles and resource database
Owen Davis,Vidyut Jain +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for monitoring client interaction with a resource downloaded from a server (10) in a computer network includes the steps of using a client (12) to specify an address of a resource located on a first server, downloading a file corresponding to the resource from the first server in response to specification of the address, using the client to specify a first executable program located on another server, the address of the first executable programs being embedded in the file downloaded from the second server, and a software timer for monitoring the amount of time the client(12) spends interacting with

Apparatus and accompanying methods for visualizing clusters of data and hierarchical cluster classifications
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an interactive graphical user interface for visualizing clusters (categories) and segments (summarized clusters) of data, which automatically categorizes incoming case data into clusters, summarizes those clusters into segments, determines similarity measures for the segments, scores the selected segments through the similarity measures, and then forms and visually depicts hierarchical organizations of those selected clusters.
Patent
System and method for analyzing customer transactions and interactions
TL;DR: In this article, a system and method is provided for analyzing customer behavior based on the time when those behaviors occur. But it is performed by temporally tagging customer transactions and interactions, analyzing the tagged information to create temporal profiles, creating advertising campaigns aimed at the temporal profiles and triggering an advertising campaign.
