TLDR
In this paper, the effect of the pitch of tubes on the Strouhal number or the non-dimensional acoustic resonance frequency was investigated in a wind tunnel test using many model banks.Abstract:
In this investigation experimental studies on the acoustic resonance are undertaken. In the first place the effect of the pitch of tubes on Strouhal number or the nondimensional acoustic resonance frequency is studied in a wind tunnel test using many model banks. According to the result the Strouhal number increases with a decreasing pitch of tubes. In the second place a two-dimensional model basin test is undertaken and putting together the theory on the single tube in a flow previously reported and the observation result on the model basin test, a self-iduced vibration theory for the acoustic resonance is proposed.read more

Review of sound induced by vortex shedding from cylinders
TL;DR: Theoretical models for aeroacoustic sound in a free space, mostly inspired by Lighthill's work, have been developed which can replicate the measurements once the vortex shedding force, coherence, and periodicity are experimentally measured as discussed by the authors.

On acoustical resonance in tube arrays part II: Damping criteria
TL;DR: In this article, damping criteria for tube arrays are proposed to predict whether acoustical resonances in tube arrays will or will not materialize, and the ability of these criteria to differentiate between the resonant and non-resonant cases is evaluated.
