Absorption with first order chemical reaction into a liquid film in laminar flow

TL;DR: In this paper, absorption with first-order chemical reaction into a liquid film in laminar flow was analyzed for the cases of zero and finite resistance in the gas phase, and the analysis of the results showed that the length of the entrance region can vary substantially depending on the reaction rate constant.

Penetration model for absorption with chemical reaction in the presence of heat generation, bulk flow and effects of the gaseous environment

TL;DR: In this article, a penetration model for gas absorption into a laminar liquid stream in the presence of chemical reaction and large heat generation was investigated theoretically, accounting for a presence of the gaseous environment, not considered in previous analyses, and the transverse bulk flow contribution to the total mass transfer.

Multicomponent boundary-layer characteristics—Use of the reference state

TL;DR: In this article, a constant property analysis for multicomponent diffusion systems where interaction between fluxes is not ignored, is investigated, and the results are compared with an exact multicomponents variable property analysis and a constant polynomial time analysis utilizing the effective binary diffusivity approximation.

Simultaneous absorption of two gases A and B: absorption of A accompanied by fast irreversible reaction resulting in the formation of B

TL;DR: The problem of simultaneous absorption and reaction of two gases A and B, where the reaction of A results in the formation of B, is considered in this article, where analytical equations are derived to predict the decrease in the rate of absorption of the gas B due to the presence of the other gas A. Under certain conditions, no B will be absorbed, even when the concentration of dissolved B in the bulk liquid is zero.
