Abstract
: For application to a new technique of predicting aerodynamic loads, a study was made to determine the accuracy of dynamic stability derivatives as predicted for the North American Navion by several different sources Using the results of flight tests as the norm, estimates from wind tunnel tests and several texts were compared and found to be accurate to within the order of 20% with a few exceptions It is believed that the results of the study would be typical of single engine light aircraft with straight wing and tail, propeller propulsion, and low power effects

Parameter Estimation from Flight Data of a missile using Maximum Likelihood and Neural Network Method

TL;DR: It is observed that the Modified Delta method can advantageously be applied on the flight data of a tactical missile to estimate aerodynamic parameters, and the robustness of the both ML and Delta as the Modified delta methods is checked.

Aerodynamic Characterization of HANSA-3 aircraft using Equation Error, Maximum Likelihood and Filter Error Methods

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present issues related to the application of FEM with Gauss Newton (GN) and Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) optimization in estimating aerodynamic parameters from in-house generated flight data.

Roll performance assessment of a light aircraft: Flight simulations and flight tests

TL;DR: A new method to estimate the aileron control derivative in whole the flight envelope for light aircraft is proposed, based both on flight simulations and flight tests, focusing on the accurate determination of the lateral control power.

Estimation of Drag Coefficient from Radar-tracked Flight Data of a Cargo Shell

TL;DR: In this article, two schemes to extract drag coefficient (C) by processing the radar-tracked trajectories of artillery shell in motion, have been proposed, which are applied on the radartracked trajectory data of an artillery shell to estimate the C, which is strong function of Mach number.
