TLDR
The use of organic solvents in atomic absorption spectrophotometry has been investigated in this paper and it has been found that when certain organic solvent types are added to aqueous solutions small increases in analytical sensitivity are obtained.

Acid interferences in atomic spectrometry: analyte signal effects and subsequent reduction

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of acid on the different stages taking place during the whole analytical process has been reviewed and the results summarized here reveal the crucial role that acids play in atomic spectrometry, being one of the most important sources of interferences suffered by these techniques.

The determination of copper by atomic absorption spectrophotometry

TL;DR: In this paper, the investigation of various factors affecting the determination of copper by atomic absorption spectrophotometry, and the application of the method to the analysis of various agricultural materials are described.

Performance of a simple atomic absorption spectrophotometer

TL;DR: In this paper, the scope of a simple atomic absorption spectrophotometer in the determination of metal ions in solution is illustrated by the results obtained for thirty-six elements and the experimental conditions for each element have yielded lower limits of detection than those reported previously for the atomic absorption method.

Flame atomic absorption spectrometric determination of lead in biological samples using a flow injection system with on-line preconcentration by coprecipitation without filtration

TL;DR: In this paper, a procedure for coprecipitation of lead in the presence of high concentrations of iron, originally described as a batch process, was modified and adapted to on-line preconcentration using a flow injection system for flame atomic absorption spectrometry.
