Measurement of corneal surface refractive index

TL;DR: A modified approach is proposed, in which a much more accurate measurement may be achieved, with the added advantage of reduced patient discomfort, by a non-contact method, and frequency-domain analysis of the optical signals used in the characterisation, which are optimised for best signal to noise ratio.

Regulation of tissue oxygen levels in the ocular lens

TL;DR: The author and the views expressed in this thesis are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the views of the University of Wollongong.

An investigation into the application of light sources in the treatment of glaucoma

TL;DR: An investigation into the application of light sources in the treatment of glaucoma in Africa, and particularly in rural areas, finds conventional conservative treatment with eye drops is difficult.
Journal ArticleDOI

Progressive addition lens design and the short of stature

TL;DR: This new wave of progressive lens evolution demands more accurate measurements and requires practitioners to provide more information on fitting parameters, such as back vertex distance, facial wrap angle and pantoscopic tilt, for a specific frame on a particular patient.

Force-Sensing-Based Multi-Platform Robotic Assistance for Vitreoretinal Surgery

Berk Gonenc
TL;DR: This chapter discusses force- Sensing Instruments for Assistance in Vitreoretinal Surgery and their applications in Ophthalmology, as well as other areas of science and medicine.
