Our simulation results show that under hotspot client distribution, the proposed algorithms can boost the throughput of 802.11n clients and overall throughput by 106% and 89%, respectively, compared to other AP association schemes.
We show how performance can be improved, both in the hotspot itself and in the surrounding macro cell network, by using pico base stations.
Our study demonstrates that rational hotspot classification can improve the efficiency of data.
The model can be further improved to consider the noncircular hotspot shape.
Moreover, it can grant full adaptiveness to the hotspot regions of the network.

Additionally, a key agreement and authentication mechanism based on ECDH has been suggested to enhance security in RPL protocols. These mechanisms aim to address issues like routing attacks, congestion control, reliability, and authentication, significantly improving the security posture of RPL in IoT networks.
