BACKGROUND Very short study abroad programs may be most feasible in undergraduate nursing programs, but little research describes their value for prospective nurses.
Such a course can equip medical students with the knowledge and tools that they will need to address complex health problems in the United States and abroad.
The results of this study can also be extrapolated to international medical education.
The findings show that although supply related conditions in home country influence the decision to study abroad, the most important factors are those related to the conditions abroad.
