Data storage and retrieval system

Abstract: A data storage and retrieval system which in a preferred embodiment thereof uses at least two integrated circuit units each having a plurality of storage registers and appropriate data access and data insertion means thereon. The same data is stored in corresponding storage registers in each integrated circuit unit so that simultaneous access can be obtained to data in two or more storage devices for supplying such data simultaneously to a data processing unit. Data received from a data processing unit can also be simultaneously stored in appropriately corresponding data registers of each integrated circuit unit.
