TL;DR: In this paper, a thermal demand meter assembly for converting existing watthour meter installations to provide thermal demand measurements and watt-hour measurements without modification of the existing meter is presented.
Abstract: RETROFIT DEMAND METER ABSTRACT A thermal demand meter assembly for converting existing watthour meter installations to provide thermal demand measurements and watthour measurements without modification of the existing watthour meter. A housing including a display area and a meter receiving section is placed in tandem with the meter and the standard meter socket. An electrical meter assembly is supported within a longitudinally disposed part of the housing, and the housing includes the electrical meter assembly located within a circumference defined by the rearward projection of the circumference of the base of the standard watthour meter.
