Abstract: 1. Nonequilibrium crystallization conditions for aluminum alloys with titanium leads to uneven distribution of titanium within aluminum solid solution, and it is mainly concentrated in a relatively small volume of dendrites. In these areas its content is greater by a factor of 6–8 than in the melt. 2. The presence of titanium in complex alloys may accelerate aluminum solid solution decomposition for the main alloying elements and transition metals during heat treatment. 3. The maximum solubility of titanium in aluminum alloys may reach 1.3% even with very slow cooling rates during solidification.
