Abstract: Improved version of lead/sulfuric acid battery, electrically-conducting fiber/polymer composite substrates used in place of metallic substrates. Sealing and corrosion problems reduced. Benefits include halving of weight, increased energy and power densities, and lower gassing rate. Important for electric-vehicle development.
