Abstract: PURPOSE:An inactivating agent for HBs antigen comprising lignin extrated from plants as an active constituent. CONSTITUTION:An inactivaing agent comprsing lignin extracted from (A) gymnospermous plants, e.g. a podocarp, black pine, longleaf pine, fir, silver fir, sugi, hinoki, or Ephedra sinica stapf, or (B) choripetalous plants, e.g. a weeping willow, Alnum firma Sieb.et Zucc., Quercus glauca Thunb., Polygonum multiflorum Thunb., rhubarb, cinnamon tree, laurel tree, Eurya japonica Prunus yedoensis Matsum., strawberry, sugar maple, Acer Buergeriana Miq., winged spindle tree, loosestrife, or Cornus officinalis Sieb. et Zucc. as an active constituent.
