Abstract: A reducer seal which fits within the cannula handle of the trocar. Contained on the reducer seal there is a seal retainer. Contained on the seal retainer there is a track and movable on the track there is a slide. The reducer track is attached to the trocar housing. The reducer seal retainer is attached to the slide and holds the reducer seal in place. The reducer slide then snaps onto the reducer track. In an "open" position the reducer slide is held away from an opening in the reducer. Detents on the reducer track hold the reducer in this position. Transverse motion moves the reducer into an active or "closed" position. The reducer seal slides into frictional engagement on the sealing surface of the reducer track. The reducer has a smaller diameter opening than the trocar cannula.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To vary the component of reducer fuel hydrocarbon which acts on a NO x catalyst layer according to engine operating condition, and enlarge the engine operating range in which a catalyst is activated. CONSTITUTION: Reducer fuel addition nozzles 5, 6 are arranged in the vicinity of the turbine 3 inlet of a turbo supercharger which is mounted in an exhaust pipe 2 and just before inlet of a catalyst layer 4, and a reducer fuel transportation pipe 8 is connected to the nozzles 5, 6 through a reducer fuel supplying device 9 and a reducer fuel addition nozzle control valve 10. A command signal is outputted to the reducer fuel supplying device 9 and the nozzle control valve 10 by a controller 12 on the basis of the output signal of a temperature sensor 11 which is set on the catalyst layer 4. When a catalyst layer temperature attains a prescribed value, reducer fuel is injected from the reducer fuel addition nozzle 5, and when the catalyst layer temperature is a prescribed value and less, reducer fuel is injected from the reducer fuel addition nozzle 6. Abstract: A method of analyzing an analyte contained in a plasma, in inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). A sample of the plasma is drawn through an orifice in a sampler, then skimmed in a skimmer orifice, and the skimmed sample is directed at supersonic velocity onto a blunt reducer having a small orifice therein, forming a shock wave on the reducer. Gas in the shock wave is sampled through an offset aperture in the reducer into a vacuum chamber containing ion optics and a mass spectrometer. This reduces space charge effects, thus reducing mass bias and also reducing the mass dependency of matrix effects. Since the region between the skimmer and the reducer can operate at about 0.1 Torr, which is the same pressure as that produced by the roughing pump which backs the high vacuum pump for the vacuum chamber, a single common pump can be used for both purposes, thus reducing the hardware needed. In a simplified version, the skimmer can be replaced by a small beam blocking finger which extends across a line of sight between the sampler and reducer orifices and occludes the reducer orifice from the sampler orifice.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain joint structure mechanism of a robot which facilitates the connection of a motor shaft and an input shaft of an eccentric rocking type planetary gear reducer, enables high torque transmission, and can be compactly formed with a small number of parts. SOLUTION: A cylindrical housing 14 of the eccentric rocking type planetary gear reducer 10 is fixed to a first member 3 constituting a link of the robot, and an output shaft 16 of the reducer is fixed to a second member 4 constituting the link of the robot. An eccentric shaft 11 constituting the input shaft of the reducer 10 is coupled to a motor shaft 2 of a servo motor mounted on the first member 3. Splines are formed directly on the outer peripheral surface of the motor shaft 2 to form a spline shaft 5. The spline shaft is fitted into a spline hole formed in a recessed part (or through-hole) of the eccentric shaft 11. Since the motor shaft 2 itself becomes the spline shaft 5 and spline-coupled to the eccentric shaft 11, the joint structure can be compactly formed with a small number of parts, high torque can be transmitted, and the reducer 10 and the servo motor 1 can be easily joiningly assembled and disassembled. Abstract: A motor with a gear reducer (5) comprises an electric motor (4) for generating a rotating output. The gear reducer (5) has a plurality of gears including a final stage gear and has an axial through hole (66) formed therein in coaxial relation to an axis of rotation of the final stage gear. The electric motor (4) includes a housing (6) having opposite end portions, a stator secured to the housing (6) and having an inner periphery defining a central space therein. A rotor rotatably fitted in the central space of the stator generats the rotating output during rotation thereof. An output shaft (9) connected through the gear reducer to the rotor (8) is rotatively driven thereby, for outputting the rotating output from the rotor through the gear reducer. The rotor (8) has an axial through hole formed therein in coaxial relation to an axis of rotation of the rotor. The output shaft (9) extends through the axial through hole (8a) of the final stage gear (5d) of the gear reducer (5) and the axial through hole of said rotor, and is rotatably supported by the opposite end portions of the housing. The inner casing (6B) is fixed to a vehicle body.

An annular gear A is fixed in the driving housing 4 and an output shaft 13 with an annular gear B is installed in the driven end housing 11 through a bearing 10. One end of an eccentric shaft 9 is fixed in the driving end housing 4 through a bearing 2 and the other end of the eccentric shaft is fixed in a bearing block on the left end of the output shaft 13 through a bearing 8. A connected planet wheel c and a connected planet wheel d are installed on the eccentric shaft 9, and the planet wheel c is engaged with the planet wheel d which is engaged with the annular gear b. The numbers of teeth difference of the two pairs of mutually engaged planet wheels and the annular gear are equal and are one to two teeth in general. The utility model has the advantages of large transmission ratio, few parts, compact structure, small size and convenient installation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To damp the vibration of a structure by shifting additional mass, by a method wherein a means for storing a feedback gain, a means for determining whether or not the gain needs to be varied, and a means for switching the gain are provided in a memory. CONSTITUTION:In a program 30A, in which modes of damping vibration are preset, in a memory 30, the displacement of a building 2 is inputted to a control circuit 4 by detected signals from sensors 15a to 15b and the building 2 is controlled by a mode of damping vibration owing to wind pressure. In the case where a P-wave is detected by a seismometer 22 when an earthquake occurs, the mode is switched to another mode of damping vibration owing to the earthquake before a S-wave is propagated and thus the building 2 is controlled most snitably. After that, in a program 30B, in which whether the gain is abnormal or not is determined, it is determined whether the gain of a dynamic vibration reducer 3 is proper or not. When it is determined that the gain needs to be varied, in a program 30C for switching the gain, the gain of the control for damping the vibration is switched corresponding to the magnitude of the vibration of the building 2 or to the magnitude of the wind pressure or the earthquake. After that, a driving signal is outputted to an AC servomotor 8 for the dynamic vibration reducer 3 through the circuit 4, a ball-screw is rotated, additional mass 6 is shifted in the direction of the vibration and the vibration of the building 2 is damped.

The enclosure (50) may be part of the turbine housing (11) or may be independent closed body. In one embodiment, the inlet (146) and outlet (170) tubes are integrally molded with the enclosure, and a bifurcated, molded barbed fitting (204) is provided to connect turbine bleed air to the sound reducer.

A branch outlet 82 opened to a driving motor 32, a branch outlet 83 opened to a driving motor 42, and branch outlets 84 and 85 opened to driving motors 52 and 62, are provided respectively. Consequently, when a cooling air is fed to the air hose 8, the cooling air is sprayed from the branch outlets 82 to 85 toward the driving motors 32, 34, 52, 62, and 71, and the driving motors can be cooled efficiently.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a feeding device of reducer for exhaust gas catalyst which can avoid the blocking of a spit hole by a carbide when HC as a reducer is fed to an exhaust system. CONSTITUTION:To the exhaust pipe 3 of a diesel engine 1, a lean NOx catalyst 9 is provided. The case 11 of a reducer feeding device 10 is fixed to the lower surface of the exhaust pipe 3. A gas feeding passage 17 whose lower end is opened to a space 12, and its upper end is opened to the exhaust pipe 3, is formed to the case 11. An ECU 21 drives an electric fuel pump 19 to feed a light oil to the space 12, and by heating the heating part of a heater 14 so as to heat the light oil, an HC having few carbon number in the molecule is produced, which is fed to the upstream side of the lean NOx catalyst 9 in the exhaust pipe 3 through the gas feeding passage 17. In this case, the case 11 is made at a high temperature by the heater 14, and the front end opening of the gas feeding passage 17 provided to the part of the case 11 is also maintained at a high temperature.

Abstract: A new type of mobile pipeline maintenance robot has been designed to clarify the feasibility of lazy tongs mechanism for adaptation to various size pipelines. The robot basically consists of three modules with two joints between modules and can move straight and spirally along the surface of pipeline. The robot can change its arm length in order to move on the pipeline of various size from 25 A to 100 A, and pass over obstacles such as reducer, diffuser, flange and other plant equipment. The control of the robot is so complicated that the modified dual control mode is introduced using the coordinate transformation matrix. By calculating the position and attitude of the robot under the control mode, the manoeuvrability of passing over a reducer is shown with experimental results.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an electric discharge machining device in which the removal of surface scale for taking a replica of a metallic structure can be easily carried out, even if the space between the blade grooves of a turbine rotor is narrow and has a complicated shape. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 9 for fine machining is fitted to a vertical shaft 10 so as to be vertically movable and turnable. The vertical shaft 10 is movable bachward and forward along a guide shaft 24 together with a slide block 14. The slide block 14 is connected with a rack 26, and a synchronous motor 20 and a speed reducer 25 for driving the rack are fixed to a slide base 7. Further, the device is provided with an automatic stopping mechanism for determining a limit in accordance with the depth of machining, a holder 6 which is fixed to a blade groove 1a (not shown) for mounting the slide base 7 to which a nozzle 27 for supplying machining-water is provided, a control board 4 (not shown) for controlling operation, and a power supply 3 (not shown) that has been regulated for fine electric discharge machining.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the flowing sound of two-phase flow of gas and liquid passing through a pressure reducing mechanism, permit the even distribution of gas phase and liquid phase on the section of a tube and improve the distribution of refrigerant by producing the swirl of the refrigerant, which flows through a cycle. CONSTITUTION:Refrigerant in an air-conditioning machine is compressed by a compressor 1 to change it into high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant vapor, cooled by a condenser 2 to condensate, changed by a pressure reducer 3 into the refrigerant of two-phase of gas and liquid having a temperature lower than a room temperature, then, deprives a room of heat by an evaporator 4 to evaporate it and return it into the compressor 1 again. In this case, the flow of refrigerant through a pipeline 10 is changed into swirl 9 in pipelines 5, 6, 7, 8 from the compressor 1 to the compressor 1 again, the condenser 2, the pressure reducer 3 and the evaporator 4. In order to produce the swirl, a pipeline or a heat transfer tube, provided with at least one groove, spiral with respect to the axis of the tube, on the inner wall of the tube, is employed. In another method, a swirling device, constituted of a swirling blade arranged and fixed coaxially with the axis of the tube, is employed in an instrument or a pipeline, constituting an air-conditioning machine.

Abstract: The utility model provides an adjustable automatic multi-shaft machine for thread cutting which comprises a base, a hydraulic system, a post, a motor, and a speed reducer; the utility model is characterized in that the machine has an adjustable multi-shaft mechanism connected with the speed reducer, the base is fixed with a loweringly arranged feed mechanism, and the loweringly arranged feed mechanism and the post are provided with an electrical apparatus control system. In the utility model, the position of the main shaft containing a tapping chuck can be adjusted according to different components, so the purpose that one machine can be used to carry out screw processing on different components can be realized.

Abstract: A retrofit kit for the regulating wheel drive of a centerless grinder. The kit includes a controller, an electric motor controlled by the controller, a cycloidal speed reducer driven by the electric motor, a belt sprocket provided on the output shaft of the speed reducer, a further belt sprocket carried by the spindle of the regulating wheel, and a toothed belt for engagement with the belt sprockets. The retrofit kit is installed by removing a cover plate on the housing of the grinder to expose an access opening, disabling the existing regulating wheel drive system by removing idler sprockets and drive chains, mounting a new belt sprocket on the regulating wheel spindle, positioning the gear motor on the housing proximate the exposed access opening with the gear reducer extending through the opening into the interior of the housing to position the speed reducer belt sprocket within the housing, and training the toothed belt around the speed reducer sprocket and the spindle sprocket.

Abstract: The method for smelting Si-Ca alloy includes generating CaC2 from CaO and C reducer in the first ore roaster and smelting Si-Ca alloy from CaC2, SiO2 and C reducer in the second ore roaster, or in the same ore roaster, or directly smelting Si-Ca alloy from marketable CaC2, and features high qualified rate up to 100% and ratio of grade 1 or 2 product (over 80%), high output and low electric consumption.
