Abstract: In an audio and/or video electronic apparatus, such as, a television receiver or a video tape recorder, which, in a remote control mode, is capable of having operations thereof controllable by respective first remote control codes in response to the reception of corresponding signals from a first remote or separate control transmitter intended for use with such apparatus; there is provided, as an integral component of the electronic appartus, a nonvolatile memory in which, in a programming or learning mode, the first remote control codes are written in association with respective second remote control codes for controlling the same operations and which are generated in response to the reception of corresponding signals from a second remote control transmitter intended for use with a different electronic apparatus. After such programming, in the remote control mode of the apparatus, the reception of a control signal from the second remote control transmitter causes read-out from the nonvolatile memory of the first remote control code which is associated with the second remote control code corresponding to the received control signal for controlling the operation of the electronic apparatus in accordance with the read-out first remote control code.

Data which are inputted by actuations of key switches, e.g. to produce command signals for controlling the playing apparatus to play specific tracks of a disc for example, appear on the display and can be stored in the memory and subsequently read out, displayed, and utilized when required. Immediate visible confirmation is thereby provided of all operations which are executed by the remote control apparatus, ensuring greatly improved convenience of use.

Abstract: An adjustable device for holding together any two remote television (TV), stereo and video cassette recorder (VCR) monitor control units. The device consists of two interconnecting pieces having sides with gripping means for firmly holding the monitors in place, bottom portions which interconnect by tongue and groove means and upper portions having matching teeth and grooves for adjustably interconnecting the two pieces to hold any two sizes of controls. The device can be easily held in one hand, thereby leaving the other hand free to operate the TV, stereo and VCR remote control units at the same time. This device prevents remote control units from being misplaced and protects said units from damage due to dropping.

Abstract: Apparatus for performing inspections in difficult to access locations. The device includes remotely controlled transport apparatus upon which is mounted a camera and illumination lamps. The transport apparatus is maneuvered, through the remote control system, to the location where a visual inspection is to be performed. The associated camera then transmits a picture of the area in the vicinity of the camera back to a remote television monitor where it may be viewed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure the position and attitude of a moving body fully automatically by providing a target part, a detection part, a reference point part, and a data processing part. CONSTITUTION:The target part A consists of bright points 3a-3c for detection which are arranged at the the respective vertexes of a triangle, a reflecting prism 4 for light wave distance measurement, etc., and is installed on the moving body 1 to be measured. The detection part B consists of a distance and angle measuring instrument 7 for sighting the target part A, a television camera 6, etc., and is installed at the position where the body 1 is sighted. The reference point part D consists of a couple of a reflecting prism for light wave distance measurement and a bright point which are sighted by the detection part B and known. The data processing part C processes measurement information obtained by the detection part B to compute and then record and display the position, attitude, etc., of the body 1. Then the detection part B can be rotated horizontally and vertically under remote control. The reference point part D is sighted by the detection part B to obtain its position, and the target part A of the body 1 is sighted to automatically measure the position and attitude of the body 1.

Further, the mother ship buoy 14 and the submerged robot 7 are wired therebetween by means of an electrical cable 23 to form a wire control system. Further, a radio control system is established between the mother ship buoy 14 and the base station 1.

The remote control signal is received by a remote control signal reception part 8, and transmitted to a control part 17, which processes information showing that the part to be controlled 10 momentarily changes. After the control part 17 generates a display screen in a video signal processing part 16, it transmits the screen to the remote control transmitter 15 from a video signal transmission part 18. After the remote control transmitter 15 receives the video signal of the display screen by a video signal reception part 13, it displays a video signal on a display part 14.

CONSTITUTION:A control switch corresponding to a load 2 or a sound generating device 3 to be operated by a transmitter 1 is operated and radio signals are produced in response to the operation of a control switch. These radio signals are received by a receiving circuit 9 of a slave device 4 and outputted to a remotecontrolled IC 10. The IC 10 supplies the output of the circuit 9 through an SDI terminal to convert it into a command signal and outputs this command signal to a power line 5 from a SDO terminal via a power line transport circuit 11. Then the command signal is received by a transmission/reception circuit 8 of a master device 6 and then outputted to a control signal generating circuit 7. Then the circuit 7 produces a control signal containing an intrinsic address number and an action instruction of the device 4 or the device 3 in response to the contents of the command signal and transmits the control signal to the line 5 via the circuit 8.

The control and regulation of the valve are convenient and flexible; the multi-functional hydraulic and electro-hydrodynamic reversing valve can not only be used as a change valve, but also can replace the one-way throttle valve and the unidirection throttling travel range valve; the system is simplified, the reliability is enhanced, and the failure rate, the leakage and the maintenance are reduced.

Thereafter, when a function key 12 is depressed, a control means 104 reads a series of the code stored in the memory means 106 and transfers it to a transmitting means 108. Thus, a series of the code is sent from the transmitting means 108 to a TV main body. Consequently, for example, the remote control operation to execute the reproduction from the condition of a power source off to VTR can be executed only by depressing one function key.

When the operating switches 2a, 3a, 4a of either one of the remote controllers 2, 3, 4 is put ON, temperature control switching signal and object remote controller deciding signal are outputted and the control of set temperature of temperature control can be effected by the remote controller through which the operating switch is put ON. On the other hand, the control of set temperature of temperature control may be effected by the set temperature controllers 2b, 3b of the main remote controller 2 or a sub remote controller 3, which are having no temperature control switching means, by setting such signals.

In operating the touch panel or a cursor moving key to make the character pattern representing a VTR with the cursor and to select the VTR, the character pattern indicating the VTR disappears and the operation content of the VTR and the character pattern of other device appear thereupon. The character pattern representing the content of operation of the device and the menu of each device are displayed at the same time on the CRT screen of the television receiver in this way.

The picture of the television receiver 6 is switched to the video image of the visitor caught by the television camera 1. The resident person confirms the visitor and uses an interphone to make conversation with the visitor while depressing a press-to-talk switch of the wireless remote controller and operates an open/close switch of an electric lock to unlock or lock the door.

And, by setting them up so that secret code number signal of an address setting switch in the control circuit 9 can be mutually received and transmitted, pulse signals are overlapped on the electric light line 5. In those pulse signals higher harmonic wave signal 11 is overlapped on the voltage wave form of the electric power source of the electric lamp line. By mutually receiving and transmitting this higher harmonic wave signal 11, it is possible to make control and watching which match a command code and data code among the remote control device 3 for centralized remote control, the main body 1 of the hot water supplier and the main body 6 of the air conditioner.

CONSTITUTION:When a transmission signal is sent from a central supervisory board 4, the time division multiplex transmission signal transmitting and receiving section 17 of a local station sends a transmission signal to a terminal equipment logic circuit section 16, and when relevant address is called, judges control signal data, and sends judging information to a logic circuit section 11. The logic circuit section 11 reads out relevant supervisory information stored in the memory of the central supervisory board 4 and transfers the supervisory information to the terminal equipment logic circuit section 16. The supervisory information is returned through the transmitting and receiving section 17 during the return waiting period in the transmission signal from the central supervisory board 4. Thereby, supervision of terminal equipments can be decentralized by the local station 2, and accordingly, the number of terminal equipments can be increased remarkably.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a TV viewer to recognize whether a distance between the viewer and a TV receiver is proper by measuring a distance between a remote controller and the receiver. CONSTITUTION:A pulse modulation signal S1 from an encoder 3 is fed to an LED 5 and a gate circuit 6 by operating the switch of a remote control transmitter 1 and infrared rays and a ultrasonic signal S3 are emitted from the LED 5 and an oscillator 8, respectively. The PT of a receiver 10 in a TV receiver converts the infrared rays to a signal S4, which is fed to a decoder 12 and a gate circuit 14, and a gate signal S5 based on the remote control signal S4 and an inverted signal S6 are supplied to an FF 16. On the other hand, the signal S3 is rendered a peak pulse S7 through a receiver 18 and fed to the FF 16. The FF 16 transmits a properness signal S8 for a distance between the transmitter 1 and the receiver 10 based on the signals S5-S7. By displaying predetermined characters on a CRT based on the signal S8, a notice can be given to the viewer.
