Abstract: The small Neotropical genus Mastigimas with five described species is revised. Three new species are added: Mastigimas colombianus sp. n. from Colombia on Cedrela montana, M. drepanodis sp. n. from Brazil (Parana) on C. fissilis and M. reseri sp. n. from Jamaica collected in light traps. Another two species are recorded from Brazil and Colombia, respectively, which are not formally described due to insufficient material. The new species are described, and illustrations and identification keys are provided for all species. The last instar immatures are described for five species. The phylogeny within Mastigimas is analysed, and the biogeographic and host plant relationships are discussed.

Abstract: Phenological investigation of Darlaghat Wild Life Sanctuary (DWLS), district Solan of Himachal Pradesh, was studied from July, 2010 to July, 2012. Vast altitudinal variation (1075-2069 amsl) and jagged topography in this Protected Area (PA) has resulted in occurrence of much diverse climate, and this is well reflected in its phenology investigation. Sanctuary area was divided in to three altitudinal gradients i.e. hill top, mid hill and hill base. The phenodynamic analyses were made on 36 tree species from three altitudinal zone of Darlaghat wildlife Sanctuary. Detailed observations were carried out at monthly intervals over a period of two years from June 2010 to Aug. 2012. For each tagged tree records were made of leaf initiation, leaf drop, leaf flushing, flowering, fruiting, seed formation and senescence. Different plant species from Hill top i.e. Bauhinia Euphorbia Pyrus pashia Pinus roxburghii Ficus, and Albizzia lebbek, Acacia catchu, Cedrela toona Melia azedarach and Bombax cieba from Middle hill and Eucalyptus, Ficus roxburghii, Prunus puddum and Pyrus communis were studied from Hill base. The phenological activities for each for est tre evaluated as the sum of species with different phenological stages in every month, and are represented diagrammatically in figures.

Abstract: The recent research progress on chemical composition of Toona sinensin Roem was summarized,and its health function including hypoglycemic,anti-cancer,anti-bacteria,anti-inflammatory,reducing blood lipid was also described.It recommended that the research on nutrient content in cultivars of Toona sinensin Roem should be strengthened,and choosing higher nutrient content ones to be promoted;standard the picking time of new leaves,and be on sale when in the most nutritional value to maximize the nutrient function.
