Green composites from sustainable cellulose nanofibrils: A review

TL;DR: In this article, a review of cellulose nanofibril based green composites research and application through examples is presented, where the authors discuss the processing, extraction, properties, chronological events and applications of celluloses and cellulosic-based nanocomposite materials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cell wall ultrastructure, anatomy, lignin distribution, and chemical composition of Malaysian cultivated kenaf fiber

TL;DR: In this paper, the basic characteristics and physical properties of kenaf ( Hibiscus cannabinus L.) fibers were analyzed using light microscopy (LM) and image analysis techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of Plant Nanofiber-Reinforced Epoxy Composites

TL;DR: In this paper, the cellulosic nanofiber (CNF) was isolated from the OPEFB using a chemo-mechanical process and utilized as reinforcement in an epoxy matrix.
Journal ArticleDOI

Controlling of green nanocellulose fiber properties produced by chemo-mechanical treatment process via SEM, TEM, AFM and image analyzer characterization

TL;DR: In this article, the authors observed and investigated the morphological structure and fiber dimension characteristic of each stage in the nanocellulose production process, and showed that the isolation of nanocells had greatly decreased from micron to nanoscale, up to 5-10 nm in diameter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cytotoxicity and antiviral activity of Annona muricata aqueous leaves extract against dengue virus type 2

TL;DR: The results revealed that the post-treatment was more effective in inhibiting viral replication compared to pre-treatment, indicating that A. muricata has good potential for prospective nature-based antiviral drug.
