Identification of the components of aldoses in a tautomeric equilibrium mixture as their trimethylsilyl ethers by capillary gas chromatography
M.I. Páez,Isabel Martínez-Castro,Jesús Sanz,and Agustín Olano,A. García-Raso,F. Saura-Calixto +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the equilibrium tautomers of aldopentoses (arabinose, ribose, xylose and lyxose) and aldohexones (allose, altrose, gulose, idose and talose) have been analyzed as their trimethyl-silyl ethers by capillary GC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gas chromatographic behaviour of carbohydrate trimethylsilyl ethers: I. Aldopentoses
TL;DR: In this paper, the four components of each aldopentose were separated as O-trimethylsilyl ethers on several packed and capillary columns, and a mathematical approach was applied which tried to relate structural characteristics with retention indices on several stationary phases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gas chromatographic behaviour of carbohydrate trimethylsilyl ethers
Journal ArticleDOI
Gas chromatographic retention of carbohydrate trimethylsilyl ethers : III. Ketohexoses☆
TL;DR: In this article, the retention indices of five tautomeric forms, four cyclic and one acyclic, of the four ketohexoses (fructose, sorbose, tagatose and psicose) were separated as their O-trimethylsilyl (TMS) ethers by gas chromatography on several capillary columns, and identified by mass spectrometry.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gas chromatographic retention of carbohydrate trimethylsilyl ethers. IV. Disaccharides.
TL;DR: Trimethylsilyl ethers of seventeen disaccharides were injected on two stationary phases and their retention indices were calculated to discuss relationships between retention indices and structural features of disacCharides.
