Delayed harvest of miscanthus—influences on biomass quantity and quality and environmental impacts of energy production
Iris Lewandowski,A Heinz +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effect of delayed harvest of miscanthus on biomass yield and quality and concluded that an early harvest of the plant maximises energy yield and finite primary energy savings per hectare.

Numerical modelling and experimental testing of a thermal storage system with non-spherical macro-encapsulated phase change material modules
A Heinz,Christoph Moser +1 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors analyzed a phase change material (PCM) storage using commercially available PCM modules with a special, non-spherical shape and found that the observed levels of deviation for cooling process were generally higher than those for heating, which was due to a quite simple modelling of the supercooling phenomenon.
