Journal ArticleDOI

Complex conductivity of volcanic rocks and the geophysical mapping of alteration in volcanoes

TL;DR: In this article, the spectral induced polarization measurements (complex conductivity) in the frequency band 10mHz-45mkHz of 85 core samples from five volcanoes: Merapi and Papandayan in Indonesia, Furnas in Portugal, Yellowstone in the USA (26 samples), and Whakaari (White Island) in New Zealand (22 samples).
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydraulic conductivity field characterization from the joint inversion of hydraulic heads and self‐potential data

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed to add more information by adding self-potential data taken at the ground surface during pumping tests, which correspond to perturbations of the electrical field caused directly by the flow of the groundwater.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three‐Dimensional Electrical Conductivity and Induced Polarization Tomography of a Rock Glacier

TL;DR: In this paper, the electrical resistivity and induced polarization data were collected on an unstable Alpine rock glacier in Val Thorens (Vanoise massif, France) in addition to these field data, and also performed induced polarization measurements during freeze and thaw using a soil sample and the poorly mineralized water, both from this site.
Journal ArticleDOI

SP2DINV: A 2D forward and inverse code for streaming potential problems

TL;DR: An effective charge density tensor of the pore water, which can be determined directly from the permeability tensor for neutral pore waters, is introduced in order to reduce the number of (petrophysical) model parameters required to solve the forward problem.
