Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochemical behavior of the antituberculosis drug isoniazid and its square-wave adsorptive stripping voltammetric estimation in bulk form, tablets and biological fluids at a mercury electrode
TL;DR: A validated square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetric procedure for the trace determination of the bulk drug at the hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) has been developed and the mean values of the various pharmackinetic parameters of isoniazid estimated from analysis of plasma of two volunteers were similar to literature values.
Journal ArticleDOI
Polarographic behaviour of loratadine and its direct determination in pharmaceutical formulation and human plasma by cathodic adsorptive stripping voltammetry.
TL;DR: A sensitive differential pulse stripping voltammetric method based on controlled adsorptive accumulation of loratadine on a hanging mercury drop electrode has been developed for its direct determination at nanomolar concentrations without nitration of the drug.
Journal ArticleDOI
Assay of anti-coagulant drug warfarin sodium in pharmaceutical formulation and human biological fluids by square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry
Mohamed M. Ghoneim,A Tawfik +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the cyclic voltammogram of the anti-coagulant drug warfarin sodium at the hanging mercury drop electrode exhibited a well-defined single two-electron irreversible peak over the pH range 4-7, which may be attributed to the reduction of the CO double bond of the drug molecule.
Journal ArticleDOI
Voltammetric behavior and quantification of the anti-leukemia drug imatinib in bulk form, pharmaceutical formulation, and human serum at a mercury electrode
TL;DR: In this article, the electrochemical behavior of imatinib was studied in Britton-Robinson (BR) buffers of pH 2 to 11 by means of cyclic voltammetry at a hanging mercury drop electrode.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorptive stripping voltammetric quantification of the antipsychotic drug clozapine in bulk form, pharmaceutical formulation and human serum at a mercury electrode.
TL;DR: A validated square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping (SWAdCS) voltammetric procedure was described and successfully applied to the quantification of the drug in pharmaceutical formulation and human serum without the necessity for samples' pretreatment or any time-consuming extraction or evaporation steps prior to the analysis.
