Dynamic behavior analysis of a magnetorheological elastomer sandwich plate

TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical and an experimental study of the dynamic behavior of sandwich plates consisting of two aluminum skins and a magnetorheological elastomer core of different loads of micron-size ferromagnetic particles elaborated under the action of a magnetic field is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical characterizations of composite material with short Alfa fibers reinforcement

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental study of mechanical characterization of composite materials, reinforced with short vegetable fibers and obtained by a new implementation of their extraction from Alfa bundles, is presented, where an alkaline chemical treatment optimization under different durations was applied to the fibers and a fatigue behavior analysis was conducted under an acoustic control of polypropylene matrix samples with different volume fiber fractions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamic Analysis of the Non-Linear Behavior of a Composite Sandwich Beam with a Magnetorheological Elastomer Core

TL;DR: In this article, the authors deal with the active control of the vibrations of mechanical structures incorporating magnetorheological elastomer and find that the damping coefficient and shear modulus increase when exposed to a magnetic field.
Journal ArticleDOI

Forced transverse vibration of composite sandwich beam with magnetorheological elastomer core

TL;DR: In this paper, the vibrational response of a magnetorheological elastomer sandwich beam, clamped free, delimited by two skins aluminum 7075T6, first subjected to a variable magnetic field perpendicular to the skin of the beam, and second to a harmonic excitation by magnetic force applied at the free end.
Journal ArticleDOI

Numerical simulation of the nonlinear static behavior of composite sandwich beams with a magnetorheological elastomer core

TL;DR: In this paper, the static behavior of magnetorheological elastomer (MRE) sandwich beams is studied in flexion with transverse shear and the results show the influence of MRE adaptive stiffness and the loss factor in the static behaviour of the sandwich studied.
