Journal ArticleDOI

A study of the anti-diabetic agents of camel milk.

TL;DR: Traditional folk remedies in the Middle East are looked into to find if there is any scientific merit to justify their claims for alleviating symptoms of diabetes, and the possibility that insulin in camel milk is present and present in nanoparticles capable of transporting this hormone into the bloodstream.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular insight into binding behavior of polyphenol (rutin) with beta lactoglobulin: Spectroscopic, molecular docking and MD simulation studies

TL;DR: In this article, the interaction of natural polyphenolic compounds (rutin) with β-lactoglobulin (BLG) was carried out by using several optical spectroscopic (UV-visible spectroscopy, fluorescence quenching measurements, synchronous fluorescence, 3D fluorescence and far-UV CD measurements), molecular docking and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxidative stress and antioxidant status in Saudi asthmatic patients

TL;DR: Alteration of the selected measured parameters confirms that oxidative stress and defective antioxidant status could represent the primary causative factor in the pathogenesis of asthma.
Journal Article

Impact of gestational diabetes on lipid profiling and indices of oxidative stress in maternal and cord plasma.

TL;DR: A significant depletion of a-tocopherol in the cord blood of GDM patients is indicative of a possible oxidative stress in their fetuses and a wider range of biochemical parameters are warranted to evaluate the potential risks of oxidative damage.
