Kenaf fiber reinforced composites: A review

TL;DR: In this article, an overview of the developments made in the area of kenaf fiber reinforced composites, in terms of their market, manufacturing methods, and overall properties is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Morphological, thermal and tensile properties of halloysite nanotubes filled ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) nanocomposites

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel ethylene propylene diene monomer/halloysite nanotubes (EPDM/HNT) nanocomposite was prepared by mixing 0.100 parts per hundred rubber (phr) of HNTs with EPDM on a two-roll mill.
Journal ArticleDOI

Water absorption study on pultruded jute fibre reinforced unsaturated polyester composites

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of water immersion on the flexural and compression properties of jute fiber reinforced with unsaturated polyester composites were investigated and the effect of the immersion treatment on flexural properties was found to decrease with the increase in percentage water uptake.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical resistance, void content and tensile properties of oil palm/jute fibre reinforced polymer hybrid composites

TL;DR: In this article, the chemical resistance, void content and tensile properties of EFB/Jute composites were investigated with reference to the relative weight of oil palm EFB and jute, and different layering pattern were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

EPDM/modified halloysite nanocomposites

TL;DR: In this paper, Halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) were modified by γ-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane (MPS) to improve their dispersion in EPDM.
