Optimal tracking and robust power control of the DFIG wind turbine

TL;DR: In this paper, an optimal operation of a grid-connected variable speed wind turbine equipped with a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) is presented, where a cascaded nonlinear controller is designed to perform two main objectives.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance optimization of a photovoltaic induction motor pumping system

TL;DR: In this paper, an improvement of the photovoltaic pumping system based on an induction motor is proposed, where the motor effeciency and air gap flux are optimized separately, and the simulation results show that the proposed system allows at the same time to combine the performances of the system with constant efficiency and the simplicity of implementation provided by the system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fuzzy-predictive direct power control implementation of a grid connected photovoltaic system, associated with an active power filter

TL;DR: In this article, a fuzzy logic based maximum power point taking control is proposed to track permanently the optimum point through an adequate tuning of a boost converter regardless the solar irradiance variations; whereas, on the grid side, a model predictive direct power control is applied, to ensure both supplying a part of the load demand with the extracted photovoltaic power, and a compensation of undesirable harmonic contents of the grid current, under a unity power factor operation.
Journal ArticleDOI

An improved efficiency of fuzzy logic control of PMBLDC for PV pumping system

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented an analysis by which the dynamic performances of a permanent magnet brushless DC (PMBLDC) motor is controlled through a hysteresis current loop and an outer speed loop with different controllers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimization of a photovoltaic pumping system based on the optimal control theory

TL;DR: This paper suggests how an optimal operation of a photovoltaic pumping system based on an induction motor driving a centrifugal pump can be realized based on multi-input and multi-output optimal regulator theory.
