Journal ArticleDOI

A novel isocyanide-based three-component reaction: a facile synthesis of substituted 2H-pyran-3,4-dicarboxylates

TL;DR: An efficient method for synthesis of 2H-pyran-3,4-dicarboxylates using the three-component reaction of dithiocarbamates, dialkyl acetylenedicarboxesylates, and isocyanides in solvent-free conditions is described in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient synthesis of functionalized butenolides mediated by vinyltriphenylphosphonium salts in aqueous media

TL;DR: In this paper, an efficient synthesis of 5-oxo-2,5-dihydro-3-furancarboxylate derivatives via reaction of dialkyl acetylenedicarboxyate with triphenylphosphine (Ph 3 P) in the presence of activated carbonyl compounds such as N -alkylisatins is described.

Efficient Synthesis of Functionalized Butenolides Mediated by Vinyltriphenylphosphonium Salts in Aqueous Media.

TL;DR: The reaction of esters (II) with triphenylphosphine results in formation vinyltriphenlyphosphonium salts which react with carbonyl compounds (I) or (IV) to produce highly functionalized butenolides.
