Journal ArticleDOI

Antitumor and antimycobacterial activities of cyclopalladated complexes: X-ray structure of [Pd(C2,N-dmba)(Br)(tu)] (dmba=N,N-dimethylbenzylamine, tu=thiourea).

TL;DR: The reactions between dmba and thiourea in the 1:2 molar ratio at room temperature resulted in the mononuclear compounds 1 and 2, which were characterized by elemental analyses and infrared (IR), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antimycobacterial and antitumor activities of palladium(II) complexes containing isonicotinamide (isn): X-ray structure of trans-[Pd(N3)2(isn)(2)].

TL;DR: Among the complexes, compound 2 was found to be the most active with MIC of 35.89 μM, and single crystal X-ray diffraction determination showed that coordination geometry around Pd(II) is nearly square planar, with the ligands in a trans configuration.
Journal ArticleDOI

DNA binding, topoisomerase inhibition and cytotoxicity of palladium(II) complexes with 1,10-phenanthroline and thioureas

TL;DR: DNA binding, topoisomerase inhibition and cytotoxic studies on a series of complexes of general formulae incorporating the intercalator 1,10-phenanthroline and thiourea ligands suggest that they may interact with DNA by intercalation.
Journal ArticleDOI

3,5-Dimethyl-1-thiocarbamoylpyrazole and its Pd(II) complexes: Synthesis, spectral studies and antitumor activity

TL;DR: All the compounds and cisplatin have been tested in vitro by MTT assay for their cytotoxicity against three murine cancer cell lines: mammary adenocarcinoma (LM3 and LMM3) and lung adenOCarcinomas (LP07) as well towards normal murine peritoneal exudate cells (PEC).
Journal ArticleDOI

Self-assembly of metallosupramolecules directed by (N–H)2⋯SCN-M (M=Co, Ni), C–H⋯π and π–π synthons

TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis, spectroscopic and structural investigation of pyrazolyl complexes of the type trans-[M(NCS)2(HPz)4] {M=Co (1), Ni (2); HPz=pyrazole}.
