New drugs with antiprotozoal activity from marine algae: a review

TL;DR: This current review describes the main substances biosynthesized by benthic marine algae with activity against Leishmania spp.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antimycobacterial and antitumor activities of palladium(II) complexes containing isonicotinamide (isn): X-ray structure of trans-[Pd(N3)2(isn)(2)].

TL;DR: Among the complexes, compound 2 was found to be the most active with MIC of 35.89 μM, and single crystal X-ray diffraction determination showed that coordination geometry around Pd(II) is nearly square planar, with the ligands in a trans configuration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental and theoretical study of the compound (Pd(dmba)(NCO)(imz))

TL;DR: In this paper, a Gaussian basis set for the constituent atoms of the compound [Pd(dmba)(NCO)(imz)] was built and, after adequate supplementation with polarization and diffuse functions, they were used to study the molecule.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antiprotozoal Activity of the Cyclopalladated Complexes Against Leishmania amazonensis and Trypanosoma cruzi

TL;DR: In this paper, the antiprotozoal properties of cyclopalladated compounds against leishmaniasis and trypanosoma brucei were described, which indicated that this compound presented higher selectivity for these parasites than the other tested compounds.
