A layout algorithm for undirected compound graphs
TL;DR: An algorithm for the layout of undirected compound graphs based on the traditional force-directed layout scheme with extensions to handle multi-level nesting, edges between nodes of arbitrary nesting levels, varying node sizes, and other possible application-specific constraints is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patikaweb: a Web interface for analyzing biological pathways through advanced querying and visualization
TL;DR: Patikaweb provides a Web interface for retrieving and analyzing biological pathways in the Patika database, which contains data integrated from various prominent public pathway databases.
Book ChapterDOI
A compound graph layout algorithm for biological pathways
TL;DR: In this article, a new compound graph layout algorithm based on traditional force-directed layout scheme with extensions for nesting and other application-specific constraints is presented, which has been successfully implemented within Patika, a pathway analysis tool for drawing complicated biological pathways.
Journal ArticleDOI
Algorithms for effective querying of compound graph-based pathway databases
TL;DR: A querying framework, along with a number of graph-theoretic algorithms from simple neighborhood queries to shortest paths to feedback loops, that is applicable to all sorts of graphs and structures present in graph-based pathway databases, from PPIs (protein-protein interactions) to metabolic and signaling pathways.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relationship Between Concealment of Child Sexual Abuse And Sexual Stigma
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors analyzed the effect of "stigmatizing the victim" which has an important role in keeping child sexual abuse concealed and found that the confrontation of the victim children with sexual stigma caused the sexual abuse cases to remain concealed, along with stigmatization, factors such as dishonor and shame, fear of staying out of gender values, pressure from social environment and patriarchal family, being threatened, incest relationships, worrying about the reputation of victim and her/his family are effective in concealing sexual abuse.
