Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of various metal-oxide based nanoparticles and biodiesel blends on the combustion, performance, emission, vibration and noise characteristics of a CI engine

TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of metal-oxide-based nanoparticles on the performance of a single-cylinder diesel engine has been investigated with different engine loads of 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10 Nm.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influences of alumina and fly ash nanofluid usage on the performance of recuperator including heat pipe bundle

TL;DR: In this article, the thermal performance of a heat pipe bundle-including recuperator was remarkably enhanced when nanoparticles containing working fluid was used as the working fluid in place of deionized water, and the maximum improvement was achieved as 37.04% during the tests conducted at 6kW heater power.
Journal ArticleDOI

Performance improvement of the heat recovery unit with sequential type heat pipes using TiO2 nanofluid

TL;DR: In this paper, a nanofluid of TiO particles and distilled water was used to improve the thermal performance of the heat pipe heat recovery system in an air-to-air unit.
Journal ArticleDOI

AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE THERMAL EFFICIENCY OF AN AIR-TO-AIR HEAT EXCHANGER WITH ETHYLENE GLYCOL (EG)-BASED HYBRID NANOFLUID Al2O3 + TiO2

TL;DR: In this article , a study was conducted to improve the thermal performance of air-to-air heat recovery units containing heat pipes and utilizing single Al2O3/EG and TiO2/EG as various working fluids.
