Color-gradient lattice Boltzmann model with nonorthogonal central moments: Hydrodynamic melt-jet breakup simulations.

TL;DR: Hydrodynamic melt-jet breakup simulations show that the proposed model is significantly more stable, even for flow with extremely high Reynolds numbers, up to O(10^{6}), which enables the phenomena expected under actual reactor conditions to be investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Visualization Measurement of Streaming Flows Associated with a Single-Acoustic Levitator

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors experimentally investigate flow fields generated by an acoustic levitator and find that the toroidal vortices around a levitated drop were strongly affected by the viscosity of a drop.
Journal ArticleDOI

In Vitro Percutaneous Absorption of Thiamine Disulfide from a Mixture of Propylene Glycol and Fatty Acid

TL;DR: The results show the possibility of developing a transdermal thiamine delivery system using saturated, long-chain fatty acids as enhancers to the system and the interaction between TDS and fatty acids may influence the system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lattice Boltzmann modeling and simulation of forced-convection boiling on a cylinder

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a numerical scheme based on the pseudopotential lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) to deal with the complicated liquid-vapor phase change phenomenon, and the collision stage is performed in the space of central moments to enhance numerical stability for high Reynolds numbers.
