Inhibition of liver acetyl-coenzyme-A carboxylase by 2-tetradecanylglutarate.

TL;DR: In a previous study (A. ENDO, et al., Antibiotics 38: 599 approximately 604, 1985), 2-alkyl glutarate and its derivatives isolated from cultures of Gongronella butleri were shown to inhibit animal acetyl-CoA carboxylase, andKinetic analysis indicated that inhibition by 2-tetradecanylglutarate was non-competitive with respect to the substrates, ATP, HCO3- and acetyl
Journal ArticleDOI

Unstable amplification of the chromosomal gene for 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase in compactin-resistant CR200 cells

TL;DR: It was concluded that the amplified reductase gene, which is responsible for overaccumulate 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reduct enzyme, is located on chromosomes but is unstable in CR200 cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inhibition of Glucan Synthesis by Flavipin-crosslinked Casein Polymers.

TL;DR: In these experiments, it was shown that flavipin (3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyl-o-phthalaldehyde) isolated from cultures of A. terreus caused polymerization of α-casein, and the polymerization products were active in inhibiting insoluble glucan synthesis by S. sobrinus.
Journal ArticleDOI

Regulation of Cholesterol Synthesis

TL;DR: HMG-CoA as discussed by the authors, 3hydroxy-3-methylglutary (3HMG) CoA (HMGCoA) is a co-A for HMG.

Production energy monitoring control system

TL;DR: In this paper, a production energy monitoring control system is provided in which a plurality of energy management systems constructed for each facility such as a building-utility facility and the production facility are connected to a common management center via a network for centralized management.
