Organophosphoric acid compound metal salt and remedy for hyperlipemia containing same
Akira Endo,Haruyuki Yamashita +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a cholesterol-lowering compound is proposed for hyperlipemia. But it has no cholesterol-specific properties and cannot be used as a remedy for the hyperlipemic condition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibition of Glucan Synthesis by Casein Polymers Crosslinked by Glutaraldehyde.
TL;DR: Glutaraldehyde-crosslinked α-casein polymers with molecular masses of 1-5×10(5) were found to inhibit adhesive insoluble glucan formation catalyzed by glucan synthases from Streptococcus sobrinus B13, a cariogenic oral bacterium.
Patent
Metal salt of organic phosphate and an antihyperlipemic agent containing the same
Akira Endo,Haruyuki Yamashita +1 more
TL;DR: A metal salt of an organic phosphate, having good stability and cholesterol-lowering activity, is produced by reacting a known compound with a reaction agent such as metal hydroxide.
Journal ArticleDOI
Basic and Developmental Studies of Inhibitors of Cholesterol Biosynthesis
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhancement of low density lipoprotein binding to both low density lipoprotein receptor-positive and- negative cells by tetracycline antibiotics
TL;DR: TC enhanced cellular LDL binding to paraformaldehyde-fixed Hep G2 cells, excluding LDL receptor induction in the mechanism, demonstrating that TC enhanced cellular cholesterol binding through a process not involving functional LDL receptors.
