Internet of Things (IoT) e um paradigma que permite compor sistemas a partir de objetos equipados com comportamentos de identificacao, sensoriamento ou atuacao alem de capacidades de processamento, os quais podem se comunicar e cooperar para alcancar objetivos. Assim como toda mudanca de paradigma, IoT faz emergir desafios relacionados a diversas areas de pesquisa, incluindo a Engenharia de Software nas diferentes fases de desenvolvimento. Considerando fases iniciais de projeto, este trabalho propoe a abordagem ScenarIoT visando apoiar a especificacao de cenarios no desenvolvimento de sistemas de software baseados em IoT. Esta abordagem e fundamentada em Arranjos de Interacao, os quais representam fluxos recorrentes de interacao entre elementos abstratos do dominio IoT. Estes arranjos puderam ser desenhados aplicando-se uma abordagem baseada em evidencia, ou seja, considerando os resultados obtidos por meio de uma revisao estruturada da literatura conduzida com o objetivo de identificar, analisar e interpretar os conceitos e propriedades do dominio IoT. A abordagem ScenarIoT foi aplicada em dois projetos de turmas de graduacao com o objetivo de observar a sua utilidade. Os resultados dos estudos mostraram que a abordagem e util considerando o contexto onde foi aplicada.

Sleep apnoea is a condition when the breathing rate of the patient lowers down drastically. The main problem that one faces is in the detection of the condition and hence delayed treatment. This paper describes the various types of Sleep Apnoea and a quick, effective and non-invasive method to detect the condition at hand.

Almost one in twenty adults experience urinary incontinence problems according to major test surveys across all the populations irrespective of geography, cultures or backgrounds (Source: rightdiagnosis.com on 9th March 2015). While most of us take the blessing of voluntary voiding of our urinary bladder as a given, there are patients around the world who are not sensitive to the filling up of their bladder or its involuntary leakage. Thus, incontinence has a major impact on the quality of all patients leading to stress and embarrassment apart from other biological problems such as Urinary Tract Infections. Thus, to tackle this problem we have devised an innovative device that not only helps the patient concerned to track how much his/her bladder has filled up, but also helps in voluntary emptying of the same. The device, hence, has three major components, namely: 1) The sensor, 2) The Display and 3) The Micturition Control.

Medical Device to Tackle Neurogenic Bladder

Human-robot symbiotic systems have been studied extensively in recent years, considering that robots will play an important role in the future. Similarly robotic surgery has seen a lot of advancement in the past decade. They are based on either a pre-programmed instruction for a particular surgical method or a manually controlled system where the surgeon gives the robot instructions during the surgery. These systems possesses the limitations of poor judgment, limited hand-eye co-ordination, it's rather limited to simple procedures only and really expensive. This paper proposes a simple gyroscopic and force sensitive based robotic arm apparatus which is controlled by hand gestures. Innate hand gestures can be used as a discerning and robust method to interact with the surgical robot. The movement of fingers and wrists of the surgeon procures a signal which is used by the motors of the robotic arm. This unique methodology can be implemented as a resilient telesurgical system for low cost and high accuracy surgical demands.
