Rosaria Sacco,Gabriella Santangelo,S. Stamenova,Alvino Bisecco,Simona Bonavita,Luigi Lavorgna,Luigi Trojano,Alessandro d’Ambrosio,G. Tedeschi,Antonio Gallo +9 more
TL;DR: This study investigated the psychometric properties of the Beck Depression Inventory second edition (BDI‐II) for assessing depressive disorders in a sample of Italian MS patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interaction between aging and neurodegeneration in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
Gioacchino Tedeschi,Francesca Trojsi,Alessandro Tessitore,Daniele Corbo,Anna Sagnelli,Antonella Paccone,Alessandro d’Ambrosio,Giovanni Piccirillo,Mario Cirillo,Sossio Cirillo,Maria Rosaria Monsurrò,Fabrizio Esposito,Fabrizio Esposito +12 more
TL;DR: The results confirm that resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging signals in the sensori-motor network are suppressed in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which unravels a possible mechanism of compensation between motor and extramotor systems emerging as a supplementary functional push to help motor disturbances.
Journal ArticleDOI
Computer-aided cognitive rehabilitation improves cognitive performances and induces brain functional connectivity changes in relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis patients: an exploratory study
Simona Bonavita,Rosaria Sacco,M. Della Corte,Sabrina Esposito,Maddalena Sparaco,Alessandro d’Ambrosio,Renato Docimo,Alvino Bisecco,Luigi Lavorgna,Daniele Corbo,Sossio Cirillo,Antonio Gallo,Fabrizio Esposito,G. Tedeschi +13 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that cCR may induce adaptive cortical reorganization favoring better cognitive performances, thus strengthening the value of cognitive exercise in the general perspective of building either cognitive or brain reserve.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Janus face of HMGB1 in heart disease: a necessary update
Angela Raucci,Stefania Di Maggio,Francesco Scavello,Alessandro d’Ambrosio,Marco Bianchi,Maurizio C. Capogrossi,Maurizio C. Capogrossi +6 more
TL;DR: High mobility group box 1 elicits both harmful and beneficial responses that may in part depend on the generation and stability of the diverse redox forms, whose specific functions in this context remain mostly unexplored.
Journal ArticleDOI
