Threshold photoelectron photoion coincidence studies of parallel and sequential dissociation reactions
Tomas Baer,Bálint Sztáray,James P. Kercher,Alexsandre F. Lago,Andras Bodi,Christopher Skull,Don Palathinkal +6 more
TL;DR: The use of velocity focusing optics for the simultaneous collection of threshold and energetic electrons not only improves the resolution, but also permits subtraction of coincidences associated with "hot" electrons, thereby yielding TPEPICO data with no contamination from " hot" electrons.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dissociative photoionization and thermochemistry of dihalomethane compounds studied by threshold photoelectron photoion coincidence spectroscopy.
Alexsandre F. Lago,James P. Kercher,Andras Bodi,Bálint Sztáray,B. Miller,D. Wurzelmann,Tomas Baer +6 more
TL;DR: The dissociative photoionization studies have been performed for a set of dihalomethane CH(2)XY (X,Y = Cl, Br, and I) molecules employing the threshold photoelectron photoion coincidence (TPEPICO) technique, and a consistent set of bond dissociation energies for the di Halomethanes is derived.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ionic dissociation of glycine, alanine, valine and proline as induced by VUV (21.21 eV) photons
TL;DR: In this article, a time-of-flight mass spectrometer coupled to a He I lamp was used to study the ionic dissociation of α-amino acids.
Journal ArticleDOI
Double-Core-Hole States in Neon: Lifetime, Post-Collision Interaction, and Spectral Assignment.
Gildas Goldsztejn,Tatiana Marchenko,Ralph Püttner,Loic Journel,Renaud Guillemin,Stéphane Carniato,P. Selles,Oksana Travnikova,Denis Céolin,Alexsandre F. Lago,Raimund Feifel,Pascal Lablanquie,Maria Novella Piancastelli,Maria Novella Piancastelli,Francis Penent,M. Simon +15 more
TL;DR: Using synchrotron radiation and high-resolution electron spectroscopy, specific photoelectrons from K^{-2}V states in neon corresponding to simultaneous 1s ionization and 1s→valence excitation are directly observed and identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Delivering high-purity vacuum ultraviolet photons at the Brazilian toroidal grating monochromator (TGM) beamline
TL;DR: In this paper, a noble gas harmonic filter was proposed for high-order harmonics contamination in a bending magnet beamline at LNLS, where the photons with energies higher than the gas ionization threshold are absorbed and dumped.
