A Decomposed Solution to Multiple-Energy Carriers Optimal Power Flow
TL;DR: In this paper, a general optimization and modeling framework for coupled power flow studies on different energy infrastructures is proposed, which decomposes the multi-carrier optimal power flow problem into its traditional separate OPF problem in such a way that the major advantages of simultaneous analysis of MCE systems would not be sacrificed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multiagent Genetic Algorithm: An Online Probabilistic View on Economic Dispatch of Energy Hubs Constrained by Wind Availability
TL;DR: In this article, a probabilistic online economic dispatch (ED) optimization model for multiple energy carriers (MECs) is proposed, which is treated via a robust optimization technique, namely, multiagent genetic algorithm (MAGA), whose outstanding feature is to find well the global optima of the ED problem.
Journal ArticleDOI
Incorporating Large-Scale Distant Wind Farms in Probabilistic Transmission Expansion Planning—Part I: Theory and Algorithm
TL;DR: A new multi-objective (MO) optimization transmission expansion planning algorithm considering wind farm generation is presented in this two-paper set.
Journal ArticleDOI
Environmental impact assessment of industrial activities on heavy metals distribution in street dust and soil.
Hossein Khademi,María Gabarrón,Ali Abbaspour,Silvia Martínez-Martínez,Ángel Faz,Jose A. Acosta +5 more
TL;DR: The results indicated that the street dust from natural and industrial areas had almost the same particle size distribution, both containing higher percentage of coarse-sized particles than the soil, which means that the industrial activities only affected the size dependency of the concentration of certain elements in the street Dust, but not in the soil.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimized Probabilistic PHEVs Demand Management in the Context of Energy Hubs
TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a new framework to coordinate the charging process of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) in the context of energy hubs, which is focused not only on the impact evaluation of PHEVs on the system technical performance, but also customers' preferences on the charging patterns.
