Factors affecting adsorption characteristics of Zn2+ on two natural zeolites.

TL;DR: The results show that the Zn2+ adsorption behavior of both zeolites is highly dependent on the pH, and the removal efficiency of Gordes zeolite is two times higher than that of BigadicZeolite, and there is a good fit between the experimental data and empirical isotherms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adsorption of zinc from aqueous solutions to bentonite

TL;DR: The adsorption performance of Na-enriched bentonite is better than the natural bentonite in all physical and chemical changes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Seawater Effect on Consistency Limits and Compressibility Characteristics of Clays

TL;DR: In this paper, consistency limits including liquid, plastic and shrinkage limits, sediment volume and compressibility characteristics of ten soils were tested using distilled water and natural seawater from the Aegean Sea.
Journal ArticleDOI

Settling of Kaolinite in Different Aqueous Environment

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the settling characteristics of kaolinite and found that it settles in either flocculated or dispersed forms depending on pH and ion concentration in aqueous environment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydraulic conductivity of zeolite-bentonite mixtures in comparison with sand-bentonite mixtures

TL;DR: In this paper, hydraulic conductivity tests were conducted using tap water on ZBMs, sand-bentonite mixtures, and SBMs at various bentonite co-layers.
