Recent Advancements in Bulk Metallic Glasses and Their Applications: A Review
TL;DR: Bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) as discussed by the authors display extraordinary properties of high strength, corrosion resistance, polymer-like formability, and excellent magnetic properties, and are emerging as modern quint...
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of functionalisation method on the stability and the thermal conductivity of nanofluid hybrids of carbon nanotubes/gamma alumina
TL;DR: In this paper, functionalized CNTs were synthesized via a solvothermal process with various concentrations of carboxylic acid groups (COOH) and the results showed that the functional groups had a significant influence on the thermal conductivity of the hybrid nanofluid.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic CoFe2O4 nanoparticles doped with metal ions: A review
Fariborz Sharifianjazi,Mostafa Moradi,Nader Parvin,Ali Nemati,Azadeh Jafari Rad,Niloufar Sheysi,Aliasghar Abouchenari,Ali Mohammadi,Saeed Karbasi,Zohre Ahmadi,Amirhossein Esmaeilkhanian,Mohammad Irani,Amirhosein Pakseresht,Saeid Sahmani,Mehdi Shahedi Asl +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed the CoFe2O4 nanoparticles doped with various elements and their applications in various fields, including permanent magnets, magnetic recorders in high-density and micro-wave devices, and magnetic fluids.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Ti–Zn substitution on structural, magnetic and microwave absorption characteristics of strontium hexaferrite
TL;DR: In this article, composites including ferrite, as filler, and matrix of polyvinylchloride (PVC) with weight ratio of 70% ferrite were prepared by using chlorides through co-precipitation method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Esterification of phthalic anhydride with 1-butanol and 2-ethylhexanol catalyzed by heteropolyacids
TL;DR: In this paper, a complete conversion of phthalic anhydride to dioctyl phthalate and dibutyl pthalate was achieved in 2h in the presence of molybdenum substituted Preyssler heteropolyacid.
