Journal ArticleDOI
Food insecurity and mental health: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Ali Pourmotabbed,Sajjad Moradi,Atefeh Babaei,Abed Ghavami,Hamed Mohammadi,Cyrus Jalili,Michael E. Symonds,Maryam Miraghajani +7 more
TL;DR: The evidence from this meta-analysis suggests that FI has a significant effect on the likelihood of being stressed or depressed, and indicates that health care services, which alleviate FI, would also promote holistic well-being in adults.
Journal Article
The effects of aqueous extract of Boswellia Serrata on hippocampal region CA1 and learning deficit in kindled rats.
Cyrus Jalili,Mohammad Reza Salahshoor,Ali Pourmotabbed,Sajjad Moradi,Shiva Roshankhah,A Shabanizadeh Darehdori,Minoo Motaghi +6 more
TL;DR: Boswellia extract dramatically increased the number of neuronal processes in CA1 region and improves passive-avoidance learning ability in both control and PTZ-kindled animals in 1 g/kg dose administration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Involvement of NMDA receptors and voltage-dependent calcium channels on augmentation of long-term potentiation in hippocampal CA1 area of morphine dependent rats
Ali Pourmotabbed,Fereshteh Motamedi,Yaghoub Fathollahi,Farshad A. Mansouri,Saeed Semnanian,Saeed Semnanian +5 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the enhanced LTP of OPS in the CA1 area of hippocampal slices from morphine dependent rats is primarily induced by the NMDA receptors activity and the voltage-dependent calcium channels may also be partially involved in the phenomenon.
Journal ArticleDOI
Crocin has anti-inflammatory and protective effects in ischemia-reperfusion induced renal injuries.
TL;DR: The present study clearly demonstrated the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and protective effects of crocin, a main constituent of saffron, against renal damages resulted from I/R in rats.
Journal ArticleDOI
Inhibitory avoidance memory deficit induced by scopolamine: Interaction of cholinergic and glutamatergic systems in the ventral tegmental area.
Gelavij Mahmoodi,Shamseddin Ahmadi,Ali Pourmotabbed,Shahrbanoo Oryan,Mohammad-Reza Zarrindast +4 more
TL;DR: It can be concluded that muscarinic acetylcholine and NMDA glutamate receptors in the VTA are involved in the mechanism(s) underlying consolidation and retrieval of the IA memory.
