First-principle investigation of half-metallic ferromagnetism in octahedrally bonded Cr-doped rock-salt SrS, SrSe, and SrTe

TL;DR: In this paper, the electronic and magnetic properties of half-metallic ferromagnetic atoms were investigated using first-principles calculations of density functional theory, and it was shown that the 3d-eg (Cr) partially filled states associated with the double-exchange mechanism are stable.
Journal ArticleDOI

First-principle investigation of magnetic and electronic properties of vanadium- and chromium-doped cubic aluminum phosphide

TL;DR: In this paper, the half-metallic ferromagnetic and electronic properties of vanadium and chromium-doped cubic aluminum phosphide (Al 1- x TM x P; TM=V or Cr, x = 0.0625) in zinc-blende phase using the full-potential linearized augmented plane-wave method of density functional theory were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel theoretical design of electronic structure and half-metallic ferromagnetism in the 3d (V)-doped rock-salts SrS, SrSe, and SrTe for spintronics

TL;DR: In this paper, the structural, electronic and magnetic properties of strontium chalcogenide semiconductors (SrS, SrSe and SrTe) doped with the transition metal vanadium (V) in the rock-salt structure were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electronic and Ferromagnetic Properties of 3d(V)-Doped (BaS) Barium Sulfide

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the electronic structure and ferromagnetic properties of barium sulfide (BaS) doped with vanadium (V) impurity and found that the Ba0.5S compounds are half-metallic ferromagnets with total magnetic moments of 3 μ B per V atom.
Journal ArticleDOI

First-Principle Predictions of Electronic Properties and Half-Metallic Ferromagnetism in Vanadium-Doped Rock-Salt SrO

TL;DR: In this article, the electronic and magnetic properties of cubic rock-salt, SrO, doped with vanadium impurity as Sr1−xForgeModLoader VVVႷXVၷ VႶVზVVŖVÖV V჈Ⴡლე O at various concentrations were investigated using density functional theory within the full potential linearized augmented plane wave scheme.
