Journal ArticleDOI
CSF biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease concord with amyloid-β PET and predict clinical progression: A study of fully automated immunoassays in BioFINDER and ADNI cohorts
Oskar Hansson,John Seibyl,Erik Stomrud,Henrik Zetterberg,John Q. Trojanowski,Tobias Bittner,Valeria Lifke,Veronika Corradini,Udo Eichenlaub,Richard Batrla,Katharina Buck,Katharina Zink,Christina Rabe,Kaj Blennow,Kaj Blennow,Leslie M. Shaw,Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative +16 more
TL;DR: This study studied whether fully automated Elecsys cerebrospinal fluid immunoassay results were concordant with positron emission tomography (PET) and predicted clinical progression, even with cutoffs established in an independent cohort.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparison of multiple tau-PET measures as biomarkers in aging and Alzheimer's disease
Anne Maass,Susan M. Landau,Suzanne L. Baker,Andy Horng,Samuel N. Lockhart,Renaud La Joie,Gil D. Rabinovici,William J. Jagust,Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative +8 more
TL;DR: The data indicate that whole‐brain t Tau PET measures might be adequate biomarkers to detect AD‐related tau pathology, however, regional measures covering AD‐vulnerable regions may increase sensitivity to early tau PET signal, atrophy and memory decline.
2014 Update of the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative: A review of papers published since its inception
Michael W. Weiner,Dallas P. Veitch,Paul S. Aisen,Laurel A. Beckett,Nigel J. Cairns,Jesse M. Cedarbaum,Robert C. Green,Danielle J Harvey,Clifford R. Jack,William J. Jagust,Johan Luthman,John C. Morris,Ronald C. Petersen,Andrew J. Saykin,Leslie M. Shaw,Li Shen,Adam J. Schwarz,Arthur W. Toga,John Q. Trojanowski,Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative +19 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Ferritin levels in the cerebrospinal fluid predict Alzheimer's disease outcomes and are regulated by APOE
TL;DR: It is shown that baseline CSF ferritin levels were negatively associated with cognitive performance over 7 years in 91 cognitively normal, 144 mild cognitive impairment and 67 AD subjects, and predicted MCI conversion to AD.
Journal ArticleDOI
QuickNAT: A fully convolutional network for quick and accurate segmentation of neuroanatomy.
Abhijit Guha Roy,Sailesh Conjeti,Sailesh Conjeti,Nassir Navab,Nassir Navab,Christian Wachinger,Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative +6 more
TL;DR: QuickNAT, a fully convolutional, densely connected neural network that segments a MRI brain scan in 20 s, is introduced and achieves superior segmentation accuracy and reliability in comparison to state‐of‐the‐art methods, while being orders of magnitude faster.
